Mrs Delma Maduro is a citizen of the beautiful British Virgin Islands and a University of the Virgin Islands Alumna with a BA (Honours) Degree in Business Administration.
Mrs Maduro’s career spans over 42 years including a combined 7 years at a small private Trust company, Provident Trust,  the Attorney General’s Office of the Government of the Virgin Islands, and in the tourism industry with Caribbean Sailing Yachts before joining Roadtown Wholesale Trading Ltd. (RTW) formerly Roadtown Wholesale.
After an amazing 35-year career with RTW, the Virgin Islands’ largest food and beverage distributor and retailer, Mrs. Delma Maduro retired at the end of 2013 after serving 4 years as Executive Chairman and CEO, which followed a successful 20-year tenure as Joint Managing Director and Managing Director.
During the last 24 years with RTW, Mrs Maduro provided strategic leadership for the RTW group of companies, which included over 450 employees, a distribution network of 2 full-service wholesale operations, 2 Cash and Carry outlets and 6 supermarkets. With Board support and a strong RTW Team, Mrs. Maduro led the company through many transformational changes. Fairness, quality goods and services, integrity and social responsibility were some of the guiding principles that led to the company’s unparalleled success under Mrs. Maduro’s leadership.
 
Among other things, Mrs Maduro along with her husband, Audley Maduro are currently focused on redeveloping and managing two luxury villas in the BVI, as well as co-managing Camdem Gourmet Market. In addition to her strengths as a business leader for which she received the 2000 Business Person of the Year Commerce Award, Mrs Maduro is very passionate about community service.
She has served in different capacities, on several Non-Profit Organizations and Government Statutory bodies which included Chairman of the BVI Hotel Association and Chamber of Commerce (now the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association), Member of the Commission on Ministry, Episcopal Diocese of the Virgin Islands; Board Member of St. George’s School Community. Member of the BVI Airports Authority; Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Premier of the Virgin Islands; Member of the BVI Tourist Board and member of the BVI Immigration Board.  She is currently a Director of the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP).
As a Rotarian Mrs Maduro has served in many capacities including being the first female President of her Club, the Rotary Club of Tortola. She also served as Rotary District 7020 Public Relations Chair for 3 years, and as Assistant Governor also for three years. She is a certified RLI Discussion Leader, a Paul Harris Society Member and a Bequest Society Member.
In her spare time, Mrs Maduro enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Above all she cherishes spending time with her Sweetheart of 46 years – Audley Maduro, their two wonderful adult children, Shonda and Chad Maduro, and their beautiful granddaughter, Symone.  Reading, dancing, boating and gardening are some of her hobbies. Delma’s life-long commitment to exemplary service is very consistent with the Rotary Motto,“Service above self.” Her life is truly her message.
