Dear Rotarian :

RI President Sakuji Tanaka is encouraging all Rotarians to focus on advancing Peace Through Service in 2012-13. You can help put the president’s theme into action by encouraging Rotarians in your district to consult the Rotary Global Peace Forums brochure and participate in recommended peace activities throughout the year.

Three Rotary Global Peace Forums will be held during 2012-13 to engage and inspire Rotarians and community leaders to further Rotary’s peace-building efforts. The location, theme, and date for each forum are listed here for your reference, along with websites where you can find further details:

For additional information about the peace forums, please watch a Rotary Global Peace Forums promotional video.

President Tanaka also encourages clubs to conduct their own local peace forum or a service project focused on peace this year. Accomplishing this goal will help clubs qualify for the 2012-13 Presidential Citation. Find specific ideas for club-level peace activities in the Rotary Global Peace Forums brochure.
